Central Texas May rains came too late for many small-grain crops, including corn, said Jared Ripple, Texas AgriLife Extension Service integrated pest management agent for Williamson County. Though this corn looks green, it’s only 2-feet tall instead of 6 feet or more as it should be in early May, he said. (Texas AgriLife Extension Service photo by Robert Burns)

This months assignment is landscape with the foreground in focus. So many foreground elements was almost distracting. In this shot I tried to frame the barn with corn.

Corn/Wheat sourdough.
160 sourdough starter (at 90%)
300 corn
250 wheat
510 water

12 salt
Intense corn flavour and aroma; the sourdough works great, balancing the sweetness of corn with a nice tang. Lovely.
